Eye Re-Surgery@eye-redo

I feel like hospitals that end up doing revision surgery feel different from the start

People keep asking for information, and it made me feel strangely emotional, so I’m writing a little rant. Even before I wrote in this community, I kept regretting getting incisional double eyelid surgery and wanted to rip my eyes apartㅠ Everyone said they looked pretty and fine, but… how should I put it, the line felt kind of auntie-like? It wasn’t high, but the center was slightly higher than the outer end or about the same,, and even though I’m still young, they said my skin was sagging and excised it haha… (I seriously regretted it so much) I wanted the front lowered and the back raised, so I went around for consultationsㅎㅎ.. But every time I went for a consultation, one doctor would say, “Will doing that make you prettier? Your current eye line is already low, so nothing will really change,” or “Do you think surgery comes out exactly the way you want? It doesn’t. If you want a canthoplasty, I’ll do it, and if you want it higher, I can raise it, but just choose one,” like that lol I just gave up and resigned myself for 6 months, and then the hospital I had been debating until the very end suddenly had a flood of posts about side effects and it was chaos. Around that time, by chance, while looking at this community and blogs, I got the feeling that this hospital might actually listen to me, so I went for a consultation. I just freely told them what I wanted, and they said what was possible was possible, that only up to this point could be done, and that the details would only be clear after looking, and I was so touched just by the fact that they were seriously listening to me.. The price was really high by my standards, so I thought about it a lot and went for a second consultation, and when they welcomed me even more kindly, I just closed my eyes, decided to go for it, scheduled a date, and had the surgeryㅋㅋㅋㅋ It may be premature to say the surgical result seems good when I haven’t even properly seen anything yet, but one thing is certain: I don’t think any hospital would have examined me as thoroughly as this one. The consultant listened as much as possible when I explained what I was unhappy with, and I felt that the doctor performed the surgery very sincerely. The surgery took a long time, and because fasting was hard, I kept flinching, but the doctor carried on with the surgery without getting irritated even once, so I was grateful and sorry. After it ended, the doctor personally wet gauze with water and pressed firmly so my eyes wouldn’t swell, and kept replacing the gauze again and again without being stingy with it. Even the fact that they didn’t skimp on gauze was strangely touchingㅋㅋㅋㅋ They did each piece of taping so carefully too.. Afterward, I was lying in the recovery room, and they asked, “If it’s too bright, should I turn off the light?” then turned it off and left, and for some reason it felt sweet… It didn’t feel fake or calculated; it all felt sincere, so I was really thankful. A blunt kind of sweetness??? It wasn’t a warm-and-fuzzy feeling, so some people might be a little disappointed, but I actually liked it because they treated me the same way from consultation to surgery.. I still don’t know the exact surgical result, but even if what I wanted didn’t fully happen, I don’t think I’ll regret it. Because the whole time, I felt like they really did their best with the surgery. Writing here wasn’t a discount condition or anything, but seeing everyone say it turned out well made me feel strangely emotional, so I’m rambling without any orderㅋㅋ큐ㅠㅠ There’s no such thing as a perfect surgery in this world, and no one can guarantee success, so this isn’t a hospital recommendation. I just wanted to write that I personally felt really reassured. I know I was just making a fuss all by myself, butㅋㅋㅋㅋ Even the way they applied the eye ointment felt warm to me;; almostㅠ isn’t this a crush? I hope I recover well soon hehe~
