Before <eyes right after surgery> Written at 7 o’clock. So I’ll leave photos and a review from the day before!
After visiting 8 places, I chose this place because I had a gut feeling, so I went into surgery trusting it. Just as my intuition about the director told me, he was extremely, extremely, extremely perfectionistic.
On the day of surgery, they took eye photos one more time, then I went back into the consultation room, and while looking carefully at my eyes, he drew the line with a pen(?). He drew for a long time, over 10 minutes. I felt it when he was drawing the inner part of my eyes; he drew for a long time, but apparently I kept moving my eyes.
Yeah, that’s right. I’m a coward, so even when I first tried contact lenses, it took me all day. In a manly way, because of laziness, I barely wore them for a few days, only wore glasses, and then got LASEK hahaha
After that, I went to the operating room, got prepared, and lay on the operating bed. They gave me painkillers and antibiotics by injection first. Then the director came in right away and drew the line again. Wow, amazing hahaha. I was scared, but seeing him double-check like that, I felt that if my eyes turned out badly, he would be more upset than me. After that, when the anesthetic went in, I suddenly closed my eyes, and I saw hallucinations in front of my eyes hahahaha ?? I saw artwork and a Mobius strip, like traveling through the multiverse world of Doctor Strange hahahaha
While I was watching it, the background kept changing, so I was thinking, what is this? Did I travel to another world? Then suddenly I smelled something burning and felt myself becoming conscious again. Ah... I’m in surgery. They’ve started the incision now. After that, my eyes were closed, but some bright single-colored light kept changing colors, and by sensation I could tell I was being operated on.
I don’t have a clear memory, but during surgery, except for opening my eyes 2-3 times when he told me to, I kept them closed. As expected, this time too, when he was working near the inner part of my eyes, I flinched without realizing it and moved, so the director told me not to interfere. In a completely hoarse voice, I said, “I’m sorry,” and endured through the surgery.
It felt like a little over 30 minutes had passed, and then maybe it was finally over; the director told me to open my eyes, moved the instruments away, looked at me, and went, “Aing~ the inner part is a little swollen,” sounding upset hahaha
I thought my surgery didn’t go well because of me, so I immediately asked for a mirror and looked... huh? Compared with dozens of internet photos from surgery day, mine was barely swollen. There were just slight traces of swelling on the inner parts of both eyes.
Still, I was anxious, so I asked the consultant, and she said the surgery ended well and there may just be a little swelling. Seeing them say it can last up to 6 months, swelling care is my role, so I came home and I’m planning to sleep only in a chair for a while hahaha
