The fat under my eyes became bulgy, I had dark circles, and the area above my eyelids was actually sunken, so at the time I really looked like a patient and had no choice but to get procedures done. I had no common knowledge about cosmetic surgery, and back then I also got posterior canthoplasty because it was recommended to me, and since my cheeks were very hollow, I think I had filler put in.
But instead, my cheeks ended up developing small jowly-looking bulges, so it failed. I had hoped my sunken cheeks would improve.. These days, as I study cosmetic surgery, some people say to use Sculptra and others say it is a foreign substance, so choosing is really difficult. At JJ they told me to get fat grafting, but then there are things like engraftment rate and so on, and if it goes in a bad direction, I feel like I’ll get candy-like cheek lumps again and look disfigured. The consultant said fillers can be dissolved with an injection.
For me, the most urgent thing right now is lowering the outer eye corners (= lower canthoplasty?). They say canthoplasty can be non-incisional or incisional, and one consultant said lower canthoplasty is the same as lowering the outer eye corners and that doctors use different terms because of different marketing tactics..
My top priority is really that I don’t want side effects like sanpaku eyes, or a gap between the pupil and the conjunctiva where wind goes whoosh~ causing dry eye, etc. (-> this later leads to decreased vision.) For those who succeeded without these side effects, please recommend hospitals and doctors.
