Eye Re-Surgery@eye-redo

I finally went for a consultation at ㅁㅅㄹㅇ, said to have the hands of a god in Apgujeong ㅠ

* Only incisional surgery is possible! *

Consultation review: I can understand why ㅁㅅㄹㅇ gets mentioned so much for revision surgery. The director’s consultation was that detailed, and it felt like a place that would not put excessive strain on the patient while clearly resolving dissatisfaction. The cost is definitely high, but I was satisfied enough to think how nice it would be if only I had enough extra funds.

Consultation order: Director → consultant Eye condition: After double buried sutures + epicanthoplasty 10 years ago, the right side is now almost completely undone. Surgical method: Incision + entropion correction (lower eyelashes) Line: The left side seems likely to come out as an in-out line, but the right side may open like a semi-out line, as it does now. Cost: Incision between 3-4 million KRW, entropion correction between 2-3 million KRW AS period: 1 year (correction possible, revision surgery free of charge)

Director consultation: First, unlike the rumors(?), he was gentle, so that was my first surprise + throughout the consultation he drew directly on the chart and explained things easily and kindly so the person receiving surgery could understand well ㅜㅜ Because the director makes incisions only about 5 mm around the front and back of the eye, he clearly told me he could not control the front eye line that I wanted to improve a bit. But he honestly explained that since my right eye’s horizontal width is narrower than the left, a semi-out line could actually make the eye asymmetry look less noticeable and make the eyes look more open. Personally, I trusted that more than hospitals that confidently say they can make everything symmetrical. And regarding entropion correction, he explained it in detail too. He said that if I have surgery, up to 1 month it will be obvious to anyone that I had surgery, and if it becomes natural in only 2-3 weeks, that means it will 100% recur. I liked that he told me something other hospitals had not explained!! As an aside, he said that if I do not want to touch the left line much, it may be worth trying buried sutures again only on the right eye, but he cannot do buried sutures himself and I would have to go to another hospital. He laughed heartily while saying that, so I really do not know why the rumors say he is prickly lol

Consultant consultation: She did not say much.. Unlike other hospitals, the consultation with the director happened first, and with the consultant I only discussed non-surgical matters like cost, recovery period, AS period, and postoperative care. There was no pressure at all to book surgery. Instead, she said the surgery schedule can change, so I should inquire about booking at least 2 months in advance.
