I thought of it after a long time, so I joined a community and am writing this post. My case was a nose tip surgery using osteotomy, 3-4 mm silicone, and septal cartilage (I only had surgery once). I did not have septal extension. I was extremely worried, but it turned out they had not used other materials.
Even before surgery, my nose moved side to side and I could make a pig nose, but the silicone show-through was so severe that daily life was difficult, so I decided to have it removed (the original hospital scared me a lot, saying that if I removed it I would not be able to live normally and would become ugly, and I heard that kind of thing when I went for consultations too).
I remembered that in the past it was hard to find reviews from people who had been around for a long time in the community, so I felt I should leave a post (since I had silicone for about 5-6 years, after deciding I wanted removal, I went in and out of the community for a very long time... I had been stressed for so long that I could not think about anything other than removal...).
I had everything removed. Fortunately, if I can call it that, the doctor who did my first surgery had not used the septal cartilage to make it flashy, but had only shaped the tip, so the septal cartilage in the photo shown by the doctor who performed the removal surgery was very small (when I went around for hospital consultations, I did hear someone say, "You used septal cartilage?" I don't know if that was because of the shape or because of the movement).
For the first few months after removal, it was hell. I really looked so ugly. But now, although I originally had my nasal bones osteotomized and had never heard that my nose was low, to my eyes it feels very low... so I do feel a sense of loss... After removal, I also feel like my impression became a bit softer (it really is true that other people are not interested in my nose).
When I was in that 6-month hell, I did feel some urge for revision surgery, but it was hard to try because I wondered what if it showed through again. Whether autologous dermis or anything else, I felt I would be anxious if something were inserted.
But after the surgery, nasal congestion and rhinitis became severe, so I do regret that part a bit. Still, I think that is my fault for touching my nose, and I am making efforts such as taking various supplements and drinking sword bean tea.
I do not regret removing it. Of course, it is not pretty. My face was much prettier when it was in, so for people for whom shape is important, I do think revision surgery may be better than removal. But if you have the kind of personality that seems like you will keep living while worrying about your nose, I think removal may be okay too. I will wrap up this post thinking that this is something I can say because two and a half years have passed. (I will not share hospital information. I am leaving this post because there were no reviews from after a long time had passed, so I do not want to disclose hospital information.)
