It has been over a year since I finished orthodontic treatment, and I had 4 teeth extracted and corrected my protrusive mouth over 2 years and 7 months. My teeth still haven’t become crooked and are still as they were after treatment, but maybe because I didn’t wear my retainer well at first and my wisdom teeth came in, my mouth has gradually been protruding forward. I hope other people make sure to wear their retainers properly after finishing orthodontic treatment. The clinic I went to was kind and good. However, there were quite a few times when new nurses? dental hygienists? handled my regular checkups, and maybe because they were beginners, there were some times when they made it hurt, like letting the wire poke my gums. I think it would be good to keep that in mind!
