Men’s double-eyelid surgery review - Day 7 (incisional ptosis correction + …

Before/after/after[ Reason for surgery ] Since I was young, my eyelashes poked my eyes, so I was prone to conjunctivitis. (entropion) At the ophthalmology clinic, they told me to hurry up and get double-eyelid surgery, saying I would keep getting conjunctivitis and my vision would worsen. I held out for over 10 years thinking, “What kind of double eyelids on a man, that would look greasy?” But these days, when I looked, inner double eyelids seemed almost like monolids and looked nice, you know? After thinking it over, I decided that since I was going to do it anyway, I should do it in the coolest way possible, at a place that is good at it. [ Surgery process and review ] I had surgery by Director Bae In-ho in the afternoon on Hangul Day, 2023.10.09. During the surgery, I kept putting force into my eyes, so there was a lot of bleeding. Still, the director calmly finished it well, so I think the shape came out nicely. Honestly, it really hurt… He could have gotten angry, but he spoke warmly yet clearly, so I endured it. “If you put force into your eyes, the bleeding will be severe and you will swell a lot. Don’t be nervous, don’t think of it as painful, and relax.” Because the director explained in his uniquely warm tone exactly why I shouldn’t do that, I was able to release a lot of unnecessary tension. And since I kept saying it hurt so much, maybe because he added more anesthesia, during the dual canthoplasty I really only felt the sensation and it didn’t hurt at all. (just a sting) (I heard other people say posterior and lower canthoplasty hurt, but this didn’t hurt, so I’m really thankful… I don’t know why, but during the incision it truly wasn’t me exaggerating; it hurt so much ㅠㅡㅠ) I’m looking forward to seeing how it looks once the swelling goes down! + Now that I think about it, about 5 years ago, when I had a small lipoma removed from my upper arm, it was also done under local anesthesia. But even then, I remember they gave me about 1.5 to 2 times more than other people because I was in so much pain when I shouldn’t have been feeling pain. I think the surgeon who operated on me at the time also said, “Maybe the patient has an unusual constitution… The anesthesia doesn’t work as well as it does for other people.” Why am I only remembering this now ㅠㅠ [ Before-and-after surgery photos ] After stitch removal on day 7 1 month 2 months I’ll keep steadily updating my progress through 3 months.
