One-month progress review after posterior and lower canthoplasty!
To start with the conclusion, there’s no need to look into multiple places for canthoplasty! I’m sticking with just one lol When I had canthoplasty about 4-5 years ago, the effect was so minimal that it was barely noticeable even right after surgery, but now the before-and-after difference is extremely clear, so I’m completely satisfied!! But because of that, the recovery period after surgery did take some time .. I’d also heard a lot that canthoplasty is a relatively quick-recovery surgery, that you can get the stitches removed and do simple makeup, etc., but this surgery wasn’t like that ... I think because they opened it as much as it could possibly be opened, the swelling was that much more severe (I said I didn’t mind if it was excessive, so please open it to the maximum possible). It differs by person, but I normally don’t swell much, and even if I do, it tends to go down quickly, so I thought it would be the same this time too, but the swelling went down more slowly than expected, and especially the whites of my eyes swelled a lot, so even after removing the stitches on day 7, the whites were still swollen for about 2-3 days.
Now that one month has passed, the swelling in my overall face and the whites of my eyes is all gone, but the outer corners of my eyes are still slightly red, and if you look closely, there are some marks where the stitches were sewn! I’d seen reviews saying the eyes felt very cold/stinging, but for me it was just slightly dry? and I don’t think I felt that it was too stinging. Instead, there was a bit of a pulling sensation. This was uncomfortable at first, but it got better as time passed, and now it’s much better. Other than that, there wasn’t anything particularly uncomfortable, and honestly the things I mentioned above were tolerable because my satisfaction with the surgery was higher.
