Consultation review: Personally, I don’t think it’s where I’ll have surgery...ㅎㅎ The director’s surgical skill is probably proven by the outputs shown so far, but I got the feeling that there was maybe too much pride, so I actually didn’t feel trust... Rather, the longer the consultation with the manager went on, the less I thought I’d be able to decide on surgery....ㅎㅎ
Consultation order: manager → director → manager Line: in-out (very thin) Surgical method: incision + ptosis correction
Director consultation: They answered my questions well, but how should I put it... They looked very tired... I went for the consultation after work in the evening, and they looked so tired that later I could see they seemed exhausted to the point that I felt a bit reluctant to ask questions. During the manager consultation, I was told that Director Hong satisfies people with lines or diagnoses they were not satisfied with elsewhere, but they didn’t really show me that many different options. They said the skin on my right eye is on the thicker side, so if the line gets thick, it may loosen easily and look unnatural. They also said the opening strength of my right eye is weak, so it would be good to do ptosis correction together to add more fixation strength. Other than that, they honestly said canthoplasty is unnecessary and probably would not suit me well.
Manager consultation: Before the director consultation, like other hospitals, they started by identifying my needs, but somewhat uniquely, they asked whether I had consultations at other hospitals and what diagnosis I received. (hospital names and diagnosis details) And the pride in Director Hong was enormousㅋㅋㅋ They strongly emphasized that, unlike directors at other hospitals, his surgical technique is delicate, there is no unnecessary tissue disruption, and from incision to suturing and hemostasis, he is extremely detailed, so swelling and bruising are almost minimal. They also appealed again to the very good reviews, saying they do contact patients for a 1-month follow-up consultation, but everyone says, “Unnie~ I like my eyes so much, and I don’t think I need a separate consultation~.” There was no pressure regarding surgery reservation, but I did feel a little pressure in the way they emphasized that a 10% discount applies for same-day booking and that the event price may change later.
Aftercare: They said they give one swelling injection on the day of surgery and one at the 7-day follow-up when stitches are removed. When I asked whether there was any other aftercare, they again explained the director’s surgical skill and said it’s unnecessary because there is almost no swelling or bruisingㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎ
AS period and conditions: Revision surgery is free within 1 year, but if it is unnecessary for me or does not suit me, the director may refuse to operate. If I want revision surgery after more than 1 year, the cost is the same as revision surgery, but they said they will apply a discount.
This is separate from the consultation, but my first impression of the desk staff was bad ㅡㅡ It’s a road I always pass, but on the day I went for the consultation, the bus seriously took 20 minutes to move 200 mㅠㅠ I definitely left with plenty of time to make my reservation, but I thought I’d be about 10 minutes late, so I called the hospital 7 or 8 times, and they didn’t answer even once... It wasn’t busy, and I didn’t receive any missed-call notification text in between either ㅡㅡ When I arrived at the desk, only then did a call come inㅋㅋㅋ I said I had arrived and had called ahead, and asked why it was so hard to get through, and they said I didn’t answerㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ There was no missed call or missed-call notification thoughㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ Seriously, the first impression of the hospital itself was a no.
