I had a hump and the tip of my nose had drooped, so because of that I seriously considered nose surgery.
If I lived in Seoul, I would have visited many clinics and gotten consultations after doing a lot of research,
but since I live in the provinces, I worked hard researching on my phone and laptop
Lying down or sitting or moving around, haha
My condition was ‘natural-looking.’
So fillers and implants were of course out of the question.
They didn’t suit my body, so I was also worried about side effects,
and eventually I’d get contracture and have to get revision surgery anyway.
And since they wouldn’t have looked natural, I ruled them out too.
I thought doing only the tip would look most natural, so I searched a lot about nose tips.
That’s how I found Kokelko!
After I learned about Kokelko,
I went in and searched for Kokelko at all sorts of places every day. I also read Dr. Kim Insang’s blog.
I practically read the blog posts obsessively haha
I made a reservation and had a consultation.
In the consultation,
1. Shave the hump 2. Kokelko
That was it.
I asked, “Can’t I leave the hump? I hate it!!!” I complained, but the doctor said it looked uneven and not very good, and when they showed me before and after with Photoshop, it really did seem like it needed to be shaved?!
Anyway, since it involved shaving bone, I was scared, but the doctor said it would just be lightly scraped off (they explained it very reassuringly, almost like they were calming me down haha) After talking with the doctor, I also spoke with the manager, and in the end I decided to have it shaved.
I was lucky enough to be able to have surgery in the same week as my consultation. If not, I almost would have had to do it at the end of this month... I had already done enough research online and heard that they were fully booked, so I was worried about what would happen if the surgery got pushed back:) Meeting BNY was lucky, and I think being able to have surgery this quickly was lucky too.
During surgery, in the operating room the doctor came in and said, “There isn’t much of a hump, is there?” but then after looking at my side profile said, “There’s quite a bit,” so we both burst out laughing haha After the design was done and I was lying down getting ready, I realized I’d forgotten to take out my contact lenses. I apologized and removed them right away It must have been troublesome, so thank you to everyone at BNY for being so kind.
Then they told me to take a deep breath and I did as instructed....
And the surgery was already over.
After surgery, on the day of surgery I felt stiff because of the procedure, and it felt bothersome when wearing a mask. On day 1 I was stiff. Oh, the swelling is starting. The tip of my nose is red and my ears hurt. On day 2 I was stiff, same as day 1. On day 3 the area where the hump was shaved turned dark purple and bruised. On day 4 the bruising suddenly went away and turned yellow. On day 5 my nose was yellow. On day 6 I thought, I’ll be able to take it off soon. I’ll be able to wash tomorrow! On day 7 the stitches were removed and there was bruising on my ears.
My ears were bothersome and hurt a little. The bruising was also spread out widely, so it was on my mind, but since my ears are naturally folded, it was well hidden.
I did develop my own little technique for washing my hair, but on the day the stitches and tape were removed, I went home and washed thoroughly.
A friend became curious about BNY because of me and even got a consultation, so I’m satisfied myself too.
I got a natural-looking nose tip,
and the nose line became smooth.
People I meet after a long time really don’t notice at all.
That’s one of BNY’s strengths.
A few people even said they want nose surgery because of me.
I succeeded in a natural way, so it’s fun to look in the mirror.
I regret not doing it earlier.
If you’re considering it, I recommend at least getting a consultation.
Also, I paid for this surgery myself and had it done myself, but I don’t think I would have made the decision without the clinic director and staff. The doctor’s skill and confidence are overflowing. I recognize that too!!! I’m sure anyone who has had a consultation would agree!
Especially the manager and the nurses, they’re so, so kind. Normally a hospital is done once the surgery is over, but here the manager said, “It’s not me being dramatic, it really does hurt~” (the ear cartilage area) so I was trying to hold it in, but I felt like it was okay to hurt a little more haha Thank you so much, BNY!
