Before<before>before<before 2>after<week 3>after<week 3>after<recent> Posting this as a record~ I had it done last June, so now it’s been about 9 months. The swelling has almost all gone down now, and I think it turned out well enough for me to be satisfied. What I emphasized during consultation was
- Absolutely no pointy-looking nasal tip - A nasal tip shape that looks voluminous and defined - A straight-to-slightly-curved line
Those were the three things, but not long after surgery, my nasal tip was lifted and looked sharper than I expected, so I was really worried. But they said there’s no way you can like the line immediately after surgery, right? They said with time it would definitely come down and the shape would change! And really, as time passed, the nasal tip became rounder and naturally came down. I had Hiko before, so they removed that during surgery, and I also had osteotomy + nostril lowering + columella correction + long-nose correction. The materials used were septal cartilage, ear cartilage, and silicone.
My septal cartilage was small, and my ear cartilage was on the soft side, so they said donated costal cartilage is usually used, but I was worried about inflammation and wanted to avoid it as much as possible, so I told them that and had it done only with autologous tissue. In the end, the shape came out the way I wanted, so I’m satisfied. For reference, before surgery I really went to a lot of clinics, and even after consulting at the clinic I chose now, I didn’t decide right away. I kept going to other consultations afterward and then made my final decision. The consultation time was also really long lol I explained everything I wanted as much as possible and brought several photos, and I think that helped a lot.
