<This is my current eye condition> I had suture-method double eyelid surgery 3 years ago, but a second double-eyelid fold formed on my right eye, so I went to look into revision surgery. I went to ㄹㅎ, ㄴㅅㅎ, ㅁㅊㅍ, and ㄱㅇㅈ.
At ㄹㅎ, they recommended upper canthoplasty, incisional double eyelid surgery, and fat repositioning. The doctor was calm and kind. But the consultation time wasn’t very long, it was on the shorter side, and I couldn’t say everything I wanted to. I trusted the doctor a lot, so if the cost hadn’t been high, I think I would have decided on this place. (+For reference, the consultant was fairly professional and did mention the deposit, but it absolutely wasn’t a pressured atmosphere.)
At ㄴㅅㅎ, they recommended fat removal, partial incision, and upper canthoplasty. The consultation time was the shortest, and I was a bit doubtful when I heard fat removal. It felt like they only roughly looked at my eyes, so I was disappointed.
At ㄱㅇㅈ, they recommended either suture method/incision plus epicanthoplasty. The doctor seemed very confident, so I did trust them, but they really, absolutely push the line in an in-line direction (it seems they never do out-folds, and only do in-out or in-folds; they seem to pursue naturalness + stability). My existing line (semi-out) isn’t high, but they said it would have to be set lower than that, and because my original line connecting to the Mongolian fold is on the low side, it would come out as inner double eyelids.
At ㅁㅊㅍ, I was recommended suture method + non-incisional ptosis correction/incision. They said my eyes have a high chance of loosening whether I do incision or suture method, and since I’ve only had surgery once so far and suture method can be done up to twice, I should try suture method once. I had originally thought suture method obviously wouldn’t work and was convinced that if I just did an incision, it wouldn’t loosen in the future. Hearing that incision also has quite a chance of loosening made me depressed, but then I started thinking that if it’s going to loosen anyway, I should try suture method again. Instead, they recommended suture method + non-incisional ptosis correction for firm fixation, but ptosis correction really scares me so much that I was just not going to do it. But after the doctor’s consultation, when I was consulting with the consultant, she also suggested the option of doing only the suture method without ptosis correction, so if I do it here, I’m planning to do only the suture method.
Thanks for reading this long post. What should I think if, after the doctor’s consultation, the consultant suggests a different option?? And for someone like me with a narrow distance between the eyes and eyebrows, can even an incision really loosen... I want to deny realityㅠㅠ
