Before reading, my history is: Surgery 6 years ago with incision + ptosis correction Buried suture 4 months ago.
1. My eyes look too intense and glaring
2. On one side, I’m not sure if it’s scar tissue or if the line has formed as a double line, but I hate how that wrinkle-like fold looks
3. When I fully open my eyes, even though I’m not putting in any force, it feels like the double eyelid muscle or whatever it is is slightly pressing down on my eyeball, and as it keeps happening, my eyeball somehow hurtsㅠㅠㅠ(by “keeps happening,” I mean just the normal amount because people open and close their eyes..) So I automatically end up frowningㅠ
4. Everyone asks if the swelling just hasn’t gone down
5. If I just release it, can I go back to how I was before?
6. Visually too, when I open my eyes naturally, should I say things look a bit blurry? But when I open them wide, I can see much more clearly
For now, I’ve scheduled revision surgery for August 16, but the doctor said that even if I revise one side (the part with the epicanthal fold) thinner, it may not be much different from now, and asked if I’d be okay with that.
Since both are just buried sutures, I’m wondering if they can be released if I want them released And if so, I’m also wondering whether I can go back to my previous state...
Does anyone know anything about this? I feel so bad that my heart hurts because of thisㅠㅠ Please help
+ Oh, for reference, the doctor told me I’ve already had both medial epicanthoplasty and lateral canthoplasty, and that this is happening because my brow bone and eyes are too close together He said I don’t have a lot of fat and there’s no need to remove any right now
