Has anyone had persistent double vision after eye-area lifting? Hello. I'm posting this to ask for advice about a case involving someone I know. The person I know is Japanese, and around May this year she had an eye-area lifting procedure at a plastic surgery clinic J in Gangnam. However, double vision, where objects appear double, started immediately after the procedure and has continued until now. The symptoms are causing significant difficulty in daily life. Before the procedure, she says the hospital did not give enough prior explanation that double vision could occur. Afterward, she asked the hospital about this, and while the hospital acknowledged that the prior explanation had indeed been insufficient, they are now deflecting responsibility by saying that this is one of the side effects that can happen after the procedure. Right after the procedure, she received ophthalmology treatment in Japan for the double vision and is wearing glasses made to help reduce the symptom. However, there has still been no clear improvement. At present, a mediation request has already been filed with the Korea Medical Dispute Mediation and Arbitration Agency regarding this issue. Has anyone here experienced double vision after a cosmetic procedure or an eye-area procedure that lasted for a long time? How long did the double vision last? What treatment or tests did you undergo? Did the symptoms improve over time? How did you resolve it with the hospital? Have you tried resolving it through the medical dispute mediation and arbitration agency? If you have any similar experience, I would be very grateful if you could let me know. My acquaintance is currently living in Japan, so treatment and the dispute process are both difficult. If you have had a similar experience or know anything relevant, please leave a comment or send a private message. Thank you for reading this long post.
