Non-surgical ptosis correction + upper canthoplasty + lower canthoplasty + lateral canthoplasty

Before <when I opened my eyes without putting strength in them before surgery> After <right after surgery> After <1 day after surgery> After <1 week after surgery> After <after surgery and after getting the stitches removed> Before <2 weeks after surgery, photo taken with the iPhone rear camera> Before <3 weeks after surgery> Before <1 month after surgery> After <before surgery vs 1 month after surgery> I had non-surgical ptosis correction + upper canthoplasty + lower canthoplasty + lateral canthoplasty done by Director Shin Jae-hoon at Siseon Plastic Surgery Clinic. To be honest, before getting double eyelid surgery, I had consultations at 4 places including Siseon, and the reason I chose Siseon was because this was my first double eyelid surgery that I had been thinking about for over 10 years, and since I was going to do it anyway, I thought a place that does a lot of revision surgeries might understand eyes better and also operate better? So I chose Siseon.

To tell you about the surgery, before I lay down on the operating table, the director first drew the line and various things on my eyes (but he didn’t measure and draw every few mm in detail; he just drew smoothly to fit my eyes). After he finished drawing, I showed the director one photo of the line I wanted (actress Kang Hye-won’s in-out line photo), and he responded as if to say, yes, drawing it like this is right, so I handed my phone to the nurse and lay down for surgery. (Oh, and at this time he shaped the line while I looked in the mirror, and I really liked that line. I never really believed people when they said they liked the line that was shaped for them, and even during double eyelid consultations I wondered, is this right..? But! The line Director Shin Jae-hoon shaped right before surgery was exactly the line I wanted.)

During surgery, I could see the thread coming this way and going that way, and when they pulled the thread and things like that, it hurt. But before it hurt, the nurse always told me, “It will sting a little~” “It may feel a bit strange~,” which was really nice. There were times it hurt during surgery, so I kept tensing my face, but they told me not to put strength into my eyes and to put strength into my hands instead, so I was gripping both hands tightly. And I didn’t know this when I had sleep anesthesia before, but it was nice that they had put small cushions or something in both of my hands! (But I guess I still put a lot of strength into my eyes then, because later my eyes bruised a lot… everyone, please try not to put strength into your eyes as much as possibleㅜㅜ)

After the surgery ended, I couldn’t look in a mirror, so in a waiting room? lounge? (there wasn’t a separate room with a bed to rest in, and I had to sit with a curtain drawn in a waiting area where about 3 people could rest! That was a bit disappointing) I changed clothes, went to the restroom, and looked at my eyes, and I liked them. But they were so swollenㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ I was shocked. The area around my eyes and nose was all swollen and I looked like a pufferfish… Anyway, after that I changed clothes, gathered all my things, went out, listened to the explanations, and went to the pharmacy to get my medication. I wasn’t dizzy or anything on the way home. But I felt like my eyeballs were going to pop out? It was the first cosmetic surgery of my life… After getting it done, all I could think was, “My eyes hurt this much, so how could I ever get nose surgery..? I should stop with my eyes.” I pulled my hat down low and came home. The whole way home, it felt like tears were welling up in my eyes. I actually did shed a few drops of tears too (bloody tears). Anyway, I didn’t even have the strength to walk, and my body felt somehow exhausted on the way back. When I got home and checked, I had conjunctival edema too, and maybe because my eyes had been watery on the way back and then dried, it was hard to open my eyes, but after eating, taking medicine, applying ointment, and putting in eye drops, my eyes calmed down a lot. (On the first day, it was really hard to open my eyes, and because they had fixed things inside my eyes with thread, whenever I opened my eyes it felt like they were being pulled sharply. It was hard because I had never experienced this kind of feeling in my life, and sometimes I felt like I had a headache tooㅠ But after time passed, it really got better… time is medicine.)

And at the beginning, it was also hard because of conjunctival edema from the lateral and lower canthoplasty, but I kept sleeping sitting up for a week and consistently applied eye drops and ophthalmic ointment, so it went down! (This too, time is medicine.)

Before doing it, a lot of people said my monolid eyes were attractive and told me not to do it, so I worried a lot about whether my double eyelid surgery might turn out badly,,, but my desire for double eyelids as someone with monolids didn’t go away even after 10 years, so I ended up doing itㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ Now my friends say it’s nice that I’m not obsessed with talking about double eyelid surgery anymoreㅠ (I used to always go on and on about wanting double eyelid surgeryㅎ) And after doing it, my eyes got much bigger too, so they say I did well!

I’m satisfied with my double eyelid surgery,,,
