Review of nose surgery at 1 month / 6 months with Dr. Kim Da-alm at the plastic surgery clinic
<Reasons for choosing the hospital> - Is it a single-doctor clinic? - Does the doctor have more than 10 years of experience? - Attitude if a problem occurs / whether CCTV is available - Nose shape
I looked into clinics while considering the 4 points above, and in the end I decided on this plastic surgery clinic.
<Desired shape> Rather than a flashy look, I wanted naturalness as the base, while making sure the areas I wanted improved were clearly improved. - Wanted a line between a straight-with-slight-curve line and a straight line - Didn’t like the feeling of a thin nasal bridge - Didn’t like the feeling of the nasal tip standing too sharply - Since my face is on the long side, finding an angle that avoids both a long nose and an upturned nose
I’m quite picky and tend to worry a lot, so even after deciding on this clinic, I went through 2 more consultations and actually shared even more concerns. As I had seen in other reviews, Dr. Kim Da-alm did not recommend excessive surgery or insist on only one method, and helped me understand what materials and what kind of surgery would be needed to get closer to the nose shape I wanted. By deciding what I wanted most and what I most needed to avoid, things became well organized. I definitely recommend going for an in-person consultation at least once.
While waiting at the hospital, I saw review booklets and before/after photos on the website, and there were various natural and flashy results, so I had wondered what type of hospital it was. Thinking about it now, I think there were many different photos because they tailor the surgery to each patient’s needs.
<Surgical method> Because I wanted a line between a straight-with-slight-curve line and a straight line, and wanted even the detailed shape to be well defined, I decided on customized silicone. Customized silicone for the nasal bridge + nasal tip septal cartilage and ear cartilage + osteotomy
<Surgery and postoperative care> On the day of surgery, I had a final consultation together with my guardian for confirmation, and I underwent surgery with my guardian confirming the situation.
Because the hospital takes photos immediately after surgery, after the surgery they showed me the before/after photos and confirmed that it had gone well, so I was able to go home with less worry.
Day 2: cotton removal / swelling care Day 3: swelling care (My swelling was severe, so the doctor kindly said that if I was okay with it, I could also come in on day 3 to receive care, so I made an additional visit.) After one week: progress check / removal of external stitches After one month: progress check / removal of stitches inside the nose
Between visits, I asked a lot of questions on KakaoTalk about things I was curious or worried about, and the managers replied quickly.

It has now been 6 months. My swelling tends to go down a bit slowly, and they said there is still a little left, but almost all of it has gone down. I wanted it to look natural, and it has settled so well that people wouldn’t know unless I tell them. People I hadn’t seen in a long time often told me that my image had changed, that my face looked slimmer, and that my overall vibe had changed. I visited more than 5 places, had 3 consultations at this clinic alone, and proceeded carefully with the surgery. I’m very satisfied and have no discomfort!
