[Consultation fee required] Review of revision surgery consultation with the head doctor at ㅇㅍ

Eye condition: double suture burial method + epicanthoplasty 10 years ago / right side has loosened Recommended line: in-out Recommended surgery: incision (including fat removal) + upper epicanthoplasty, lower eyelid entropion

*Consultation fee: 10,000 KRW* Consultation order: consultant → doctor → consultant

Doctor consultation: First of all, the doctor seemed to have a very nice personality. The atmosphere throughout the consultation was gentle, and the doctor responded with just the right amount of wit, so personally I felt comfortable asking questions. It was a little disappointing that the doctor did not show a huge variety of lines, but still, they showed me the most natural option within what was possible for my current eye condition, so it seemed to suit my face well. Since the starting lines of both eyes are currently completely different, the doctor recommended an upper epicanthoplasty to bring out the front line so that the in-out lines on both sides could come out as naturally as possible. And for lower eyelid entropion, I had also felt it was necessary, but the doctor strongly recommended it too haha. Rather, they asked why I had left it untreated until now and whether it was not very uncomfortable, so it felt like the doctor was really empathetic? Maybe because there was a consultation fee, but the doctor’s consultation itself took about 20 minutes, and overall it was one of the more satisfying consultations.

Consultant consultation: Before the doctor consultation, I got the impression that the consultant checked my eye condition in more detail than at other clinics. Of course, they said the doctor would make the accurate diagnosis, but they also touched and checked everything from skin thickness to eye shape. They do speak a little fast, but during the consultation they were considerate and checked from time to time whether I had missed anything in my notes. There was no pressure to book surgery, but since it would be financially burdensome to do both double eyelid surgery and lower eyelid entropion surgery together, I asked whether they could be done separately. The consultant mentioned the recovery period and gave the nuance that, if possible, it would be better to do both surgeries together.

Disappointing points: I understand the consultation fee, but it felt like there were small extra charges here and there? (document preparation, treatment fees, etc.) Also, among the places I have consulted so far, even looking only at double eyelid surgery, although there was a separate event price, the regular price was on the fairly high side. And after surgery, before stitch removal, you can receive swelling laser treatment whenever you want, but after that there is no separate aftercare, which was very disappointing.
