Before/after <epicanthoplasty, non-incisional double eyelid surgery, ptosis correction> I had the surgery at the Jenith Ansan branch in Sangnoksu. I arrived at the hospital at 10 today and had the surgery. Before surgery, they took photos with a camera, and wow... I was thinking, did I really look like this... And Director Park Kang-gyun really set the line in very fine detail. When I asked him to try holding a different line too, I liked that one as well, so I was really torn. Anyway, I had non-incisional double eyelid surgery + correction + epicanthoplasty.
The shape I wanted was a double eyelid line that is not very visible when looking from the front, but visible when looking from below.
For the surgery, they did general anesthesia first and then local anesthesia. After the general anesthesia, it felt fascinating. During surgery, I woke up, and when the director told me to close and open my eyes, I just did as he said. As for pain, maybe because the anesthesia worked well, it did not hurt at all. I do not know if it was during the epicanthoplasty, but I could feel something like the skin being cut, so it gave me slight chills. The surgery time was not that long; I think it was about 20 minutes.
After surgery, except for feeling a bit dazed because it took time for the anesthesia to wear off, I wore a cold-compress eye mask in the recovery room and lay down with my back warm.
After about 30 minutes, I received an eye mask for cold compresses, instructions, and a prescription, and came home.
There was some pain as the anesthesia wore off, but after moving around a bit at home, there was no discomfort at all.
The swelling was okay immediately after surgery, but when I checked after coming home, my eyelids were swollen like I had been hit. And right now, the swelling around the double eyelid area is different on both eyes, so it looks a bit awkward. Because I originally did not have double eyelids, it feels very awkward, but once the swelling goes down, I think the line will settle naturally and not be very visible.
It is still day 1, so rather than improved photos, these are more like post-surgery wreck photos, but if there are changes afterward, I will keep posting and give updates. Good luck to everyone who has set a surgery date and is waiting.
