Before/after/after/recently: alar base reduction + bulbous nose correction + ear cartilage nasal tip surgery
After my first surgery, I was shocked because my left nostril looked excessively cut into a triangular shape, almost like a mountain. I cried every day and spent each day like hell. When I told the director, he said, “Your nostril was originally a bit triangular, and it looks fine to me, but if it bothers you, I’ll do nostril lowering for you, so make up your mind and come next week after fasting.” While I was worried at the thought of having to open my nose again, the consultant in charge came and said, “Our hospital does not have nostril lowering as a surgical item, so there will be an additional cost.”
After removing the splint and taping, it was a complete disaster: an upturned nose, outlet-like nostrils, one nostril deformed into a large triangle when seen from the side, and pinched marks above the nostril > they said they lifted it to match the nostril asymmetry.
A few days later, I called again and argued, asking why the director and the consultant were saying different things, and why I had to pay an additional fee when this was a correction for a shape that went wrong after surgery. (This is a place that offers free aftercare/revision within 1 year.) They said I seemed to be under a lot of stress, so they would do an early correction. I decided to receive the early correction for free. I wanted complete removal, but they said it could not be completely removed, so we decided to leave a little ear cartilage and lower the height. When I asked whether the triangularly cut nostril and the pinched marks would also disappear, he said they could be resolved if released. I trusted the director’s confident assurance and got back on the operating table.
After that early removal surgery, they said the surgery went well, so I went home feeling good. But while changing the cotton because it was soaked, I looked at my nose and the triangular nostril was still the same, the pinched mark was even more deeply indented and looked black as if bruised. Only the height had returned to something similar to my original nose. They had covered the completely ruined parts with taping.
I felt something was wrong, so the next day I requested a consultation with the director and talked to him. He stubbornly insisted that the nostril was like that because it had originally been triangular, and that the pinching had also originally been there, so I went home crying.
My original nose did have some shadowing, but it absolutely did not have any sunken area. After the first surgery, only one side became sunken. After the second surgery, the sunken area became even deeper and blacker.
What should I do now? In real life, it looks like I’ve been cut with a knife, to the point that I can’t live with this face..
