Sharing my story of going around for revision-surgery consultations + I booked

This is my story after going around for consultations, and I’m posting it in case it helps everyone. Sorry for typos, spelling, and spacing errors.

First, mine is a revision surgery. I originally had a partial incision, and it’s been 4 years now. One side came undone, and I only found out yesterday that the other side has also become quite loose. After going around, they said I have a little eye protrusion and that my eyes themselves are prone to the line coming undone, but they also said maintaining it for 4 years was still a long time. I have eyelid ptosis, and even to me the front fold area looks a bit stuffy. After yesterday’s consultations, I realized that rather than very dramatic eyes, I want eyes that suit my own eyes and style while still showing the line.

They said incision would be fine, but wouldn’t it be okay to do non-incision first and then do incision when I’m older. They kept holding different lines for me several times, but I didn’t like them. The consultant was kind. Price was in the low 2 million won range. Ruled out because I didn’t like the line.

2.ㅌㅌㅇ

While listening to the consultant’s explanation, there was a strong sales-pitch vibe. This was even before seeing the director, but the price range felt quite inflated. The person who guided me when I entered was very unfriendly, but a different person came in for the consultation. I saw the director, and rather than focusing on the eyes the patient wants, the doctor seemed to have their own style, had seen many patients, and had a lot of surgical experience. Honestly, because of the director more than the consultant, I almost put down a reservation before leaving, but they recommended incision + upper canthoplasty + ptosis correction, so I said I’d think about it first. They held the line once and that was it. They said non-incision was possible, but even if I did it, it would end up the same as now anyway, so they recommended incision. I did trust them. But the price was way too unreasonable in my opinion, so I passed.

3. ㅇㅇㅇ(on top of air)

First, the hospital itself has a bright and warm atmosphere when you walk in. I’m someone who looks a lot at the hospital atmosphere too, and as you go around, there are places that feel a bit dark, the air feels cold, and the vibe is sharp, you know. But here, I was comfortable while waiting. First impression of the hospital was positive. The consultant was very kind. Rather than saying my current eyes are this or that, they calmly listened to what felt uncomfortable to me and what I wanted to improve. Then the doctor came in, and first of all I liked the line, and they listened to all my questions. They clearly said no to what couldn’t be done. Recommended non-incision + fat removal. When I asked what about doing this and that, they were like, “Is that really necessary..?” so I felt they would do it properly according to my eyes. It’s not that there was no reservation push, but they said the time slot I wanted was filling up, and the price was under 2 million won, which I liked. I liked the hospital, consultant, and director, so I paid the deposit right away and left.

3. ㄱㄹㄷ

I had the longest consultation here. The director was full of passion. Recommended incision + upper canthoplasty + fat removal. Price range was in the low 3 million won range. They held the line so many times that my eyes hurt. The consultant was just okay. The director explained all the reasons why I needed each of those things. Honestly, I had already made a reservation somewhere else before going, but I was curious, so I went. I was moved by the director’s passion. But the hospital atmosphere was cold, and it didn’t seem to match me well, so as expected, I passed.

4.ㅌㅇㅅ Something came up, so I called to say I couldn’t go and didn’t go. Maybe they were annoyed; they said, “Please check your schedule and make an appointment when you can come ㅡㅡ,” and hung up. Sorry sorry.

Common points “Please make a reservaaaation~~~~~” was common everywhere, but still, ㅇㄴ let me go the most coolly. They didn’t cling. Around evening, the consultants from ㅇㄴ and ㅌㅌㅇ asked by KakaoTalk whether I had decided. The directors were generally kind. They answered kindly when I asked questions. 5 minutes sleep anesthesia + local anesthesia

Summary ㅌㅌㅇ & ㄱㄹㄷ pursue eyes that look clearly changed. In a way, their prescriptions are more long-term.

ㅇㄴ & ㅇㅇㅇ pursue natural-looking eyes based on my current eyes. If the line comes undone, they recommend incision later when I’m older.

I hope everyone has safe surgeries without side effects!! :)
