I was going to write all my consultation reviews at once, but I’m writing them one by one. My previous post has nose photos and the list from my online research, so refer to it if you want. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- <Summary for people in a hurry> Low and upturned nose Silicone for the nasal bridge, septal cartilage + ear cartilage for the nasal tip When raising the nose, correction of the upturned nose is essential 4.60 million KRW (VAT separate) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. Clinic: ㅁㅌ (ㅇㅎㅅ) -Quiet and not many people. -Clean white interior, and the inside is on the small side -Consultation started after waiting 30 minutes past my appointment time -The staff were kind and not overly flashy
2. Consultation process: Fill out chart -> take photos -> consultation with the consultant (areas, concerns) -> consultation with the director (about 30 minutes) -> consultation with the consultant (cost) 2-1. Director consultation -First impression: Dumbledore with a hoarse voice -Personality: Firm, realistic (photos < my actual face)
2-3. Diagnosis and surgery 1) Short nose/upturned nose -On my face, a slightly upturned shape like now does actually suit me; -However, if it is raised as is, it will become a much more severe upturned nose. To maintain the current line, lowering the nasal tip is essential. Most important! -No septal extension surgery
2) Low nasal bridge -Silicone 3.5 mm -The skin on the nasal bridge is on the thin side, so the higher it gets, the more it will show through -He placed several silicone implants on me and told me to choose which one looked good. He tried 3 types: a slightly curved shape, one less curved than that, and a shape close to straight -When I tried to bring out photos, he said the forehead, cheekbones, and mouth were all on different faces, so there was no meaning... (agreed) He said the shape that appears when placed on my face is more important (agreed) -I couldn’t really feel the difference from placing silicone, so I was like ??? and he recommended the slightly curved shape -He didn’t use terms like natural-fancy or straight-with-slight-curve. I also think those terms are too subjective
3) Firm nasal tip -When I asked, “Is it a bulbous nose?” he said, “Hmm....... a little?” He said there is no fixed measurement for what counts as a bulbous nose, and if it just looks that way, it’s a bulbous nose (I agree with this too) -The nasal tip skin is on the firm side. Therefore, it won’t come out slim like a celebrity’s. I wanted a round nasal tip anyway, so it’s fine -Planning to use septal cartilage. However, because low noses tend to have a small amount, there is more than a 50% chance ear cartilage will also need to be used
4) Slightly crooked nose -A fact I didn’t know either...! Right now it doesn’t show because it’s low, but if it’s raised, it will show more -But other people don’t look at someone else’s nose in that much detail, and if I’m not bothered by it, there’s no need to do it -Also, even with correction, it only corrects about 70%
5) Other diagnosis -Slight protruding mouth (I’m not bothered by this) -If matched to my forehead, I’ll become Avatar -A difficult nose for a first surgery... So surgery time is also expected to be about 2 hours. Still, it’s incomparably easier than a revision nose -Open approach, sedation + local anesthesia surgery
3. Cost (VAT separate): 4.60 million KRW, 4.40 million KRW if writing a review -If including the crooked nose, 5.50 million KRW (5.61 million KRW including VAT) wow! It’s a first surgery and they’re not even using rib cartilage! -No pressure to pay a deposit
4. Aftercare -Visits on days 1, 2, 7, and at 3 months -After-sales service 3 years. Inflammation and contracture are free, but dissatisfaction with the design has an additional cost ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It was my first nose consultation, but it didn’t make my self-esteem drop as much as I expected.
