Autologous costal cartilage vs septal cartilage

It’s revision surgery, but for my first surgery I had silicone + ear cartilage + a closed approach. For the revision, I got a CT scan, and the doctor said first that the amount and shape of my septal cartilage were fine, so it seemed like I wouldn’t need to use rib cartilage.

But in my opinion, if the septal cartilage is okay then using it is fine, but since it’s revision surgery, I’m worried about 10-20 years later. Just in case, since rib cartilage is stronger than septal cartilage.. I wondered if rib cartilage might be stronger against side effects like contracture or arrow-shaped nose and so onㅜ When I asked the doctor, they told me that decision was up to me.

They said that from their perspective, septal cartilage is also okay, but if I want to use rib cartilage, I can. They said if thinking about later on, rib cartilage is more definite.

Whether revision or first surgery.. what do you think would be better?
