I was thinking about breast surgery, so I went for consultations. These are just my personal impressions, so I recommend going to each clinic yourself!
ㅇㄴㄱㅁ - consultation fee 10,000 won After filling out the chart, they have you watch something like a video before the consultation. I watched the video for about 30 minutes and then went in for the doctor’s consultation... so it took longer than other places. The doctor seemed to have a lot of pride and was not a gentle, soft-spoken type at all... Since I have a bit of flesh covering my breasts, I asked if I could have the surgery in the subfascial plane and got scolded. Also, it seemed like they only do transaxillary incisions, so there didn’t seem to be any options, and the doctor was scary so I couldn’t even ask.. For implants, they mostly talked about Motiva. The consultant was gentle and good at explaining things.. There was no pressure to book, but she still had a bit of presence, so I felt like I had to read the room. The price range was the most expensive. For after-service, there isn’t really a fixed covered period; prices are set by item. The surgical bra cost is separate. Postoperative care - manual massage, ultrasound, scar care, etc.
ㅇㅋㄹㅇ - no consultation fee It’s a new clinic so I wasn’t drawn to it, but I heard the doctor gives good consultations, so I went once.. The clinic was decorated nicely. The interior definitely had a new, fresh feel... Here too, before seeing the doctor, they showed something like a PPT video? Like an explanation about breast augmentation?? I liked that the doctor seemed to give options for various implants such as Sebbin, Mentor, etc. They recommended Sebbin, dual-plane, inframammary incision. After going to ㅇㄴㄱㅁ and then ㅇㅋㄹㅇ, the doctor definitely felt passionate... and kind... They answered questions well... The equipment was also up to date, and the 3D imaging showed things in a very detailed way. They said they provide one free after-service revision regardless of the period. Anesthesia fees apply. If there’s a downside, it’s that the doctor’s career is shorter than the doctors at the other clinics I consulted. No surgical bra worn (sports bra + upper band combination) Postoperative care - breast packs, swelling and stretch mark care, medication prescription, scar care, etc.
ㅇㄷ(m) - no consultation fee This is also a clinic that has done breasts for a long time, and I went after looking at the doctor’s skill and experience... Maybe it’s a feature of older clinics, but the doctor here also had a lot of confidence and presence... Not a warm type at all, but the style that only consults on what’s necessary.. Like, trust me and follow my lead.. I’ll take care of everything, that kind of style... Still, they told me everything I needed to know.. They recommended Motiva/Mentor, dual-plane, inframammary incision. After the consultation, the consultant talked about the doctor’s experience and surgery, showing photos of how the operation is performed, and I did feel trust in the skill for sure. What I liked here was that even though the clinic has been around for a long time focusing only on breasts, it is quite large, so care, surgery, exams, etc. can all be handled inside the clinic. I also liked that the doctor has a long career, so there is trust. The doctor’s consultation itself is not exactly a sweet, affectionate style.... Also, I have some accessory breast tissue, and accessory breast tissue can be covered by indemnity insurance.. But in that case, they recommend a transaxillary incision. No surgical bra worn (they said with this clinic’s own surgical method, they don’t fix the implant with a surgical bra; they already shape it during surgery) After-service is guaranteed for life. Postoperative care - high-frequency treatment, heat packs, capsule care, laser, etc.
ㅂㅂ - consultation fee 50,000 won The head doctor’s consultation fee is 50,000 won, and other doctors are 30,000 won... The consultation fee is seriously expensive..ㅠㅠ Honestly, compared with the consultation quality, the fee felt a bit wasteful.... It was good that I went in right away without waiting, but the doctor talked way too fast... The consultation wasn’t even about 5 minutes?? They just recommended implants, said I should probably also do accessory breast tissue removal, it would be good to do liposuction too, and let’s graft the fat from liposuction into the breasts, end.. They recommended Motiva and didn’t even measure me........ It was my first time going to a clinic for consultation and not having measurements taken... I expected more because it’s an old clinic, but the consultant didn’t really give any further explanation either.. (That doesn’t mean they weren’t kind.. They were kind) There was no talk about subfascial, dual-plane, or anything like that, and it just ended in a rushed, muddled way... I couldn’t ask about after-service either... ㅠㅠ For scars, they said their incisions are minimal... Surgical bra + upper band (they said it can differ depending on the person) Postoperative care - ultrasound laser 3 times, breast tissue care, and as a service, something like stem cell treatment??
That’s where I went, and after the consultations, for now I’m most drawn to ㅇㄷ and ㅇㅋㄹㅇ.. For ㅇㅋㄹㅇ, first of all the doctor was kind and the overall atmosphere was good, and for ㅇㄷ, I’m drawn to the doctor’s experience, surgical management, after-service, and things like that. Although this would be my first breast surgery, my sternum protrudes more than other people’s, my breasts are asymmetrical, and my breast shape is unusual, so it’s a difficult case. Because of that, I’m drawn more to ㅇㄷ than to a new clinic. But what makes me hesitate more is that the doctor at ㅇㅋㄹㅇ honestly told me that my inframammary folds are a bit different and the asymmetry may remain even after surgery, while the doctor at ㅇㄷ told me not to worry, that I’m not a difficult case, and that it would be corrected after surgery...
If anyone here has had breast surgery, I’d be grateful for your opinions!!
