About 12 years ago, I got permanent filler in my nasolabial folds, the bridge of my nose, the glabella, and up onto the forehead above the glabella. It doesn't hurt, but it makes me look like an avatar, and the nasolabial folds seem to need removal because the filler makes the wrinkles stand out more.
Last year I toured clinics for revision rhinoplasty, but this year I decided to focus only on removal, and this time I visited two places first.
1. OOOO Plastic Surgery There were no recommendations from my own research, but there were many foreign body removal photos on the clinic website, so I went. They said they could probably remove about 40% of the nose and 60 to 70% of the nasolabial folds by injecting a solution and extracting it through a dedicated tube. When I asked if it was suction, they said it was different from suction;; They said incision would be difficult because of scarring, and although scar tissue forms, it goes away on its own in a year. There was no consultation fee. No ultrasound.
2. CHY Plastic Surgery There were quite a few recommendations for foreign body cases, so I went. They examined me while looking at ultrasound images. There was a lot of filler in my nose, and it had spread up to the forehead area, so they said they would need two scalp entry points and an incision under the nose, with endoscopy. For the nasolabial folds, they said suction would be done while using ultrasound. They said oral incision was difficult because of the nerves?! Starting from the side of the nose, and nasal side incisions were difficult. They said scar tissue will form and gradually shrink, but some will remain. There is a discount if photos can be shared, but the price is expensive. Ultrasound fee: 110,000 won
The doctor consultation was followed by a consultation with the manager, but the process was not smooth because they were taking notes on a phone. There are a lot of stories saying foreign body removal by suction does not remove things well and only stirs them up, while incision brings up concerns like inflammation, removal of internal tissue, scarring, and so on, so it really seems difficult...
