There aren't many posts about abdominoplasty itself in this community, so for everyone considering abdominoplasty, I went to consultations at 3 places known for abdominoplasty and am posting my review for now.
Plastic Surgery Clinic ㅌㄱ - Smallest in scale among the three places - No waiting (there were no people;;) - Went straight to consultation with the director without a consultation with the consultant - The director explained the surgical method in detail (the director was full of confidence and explained at length) - When I mentioned liposuction, they recommended a mini abdominoplasty including liposuction of the love handles, lower abdomen, and upper abdomen - They said it would be done under general anesthesia, a drain would be needed, and seroma almost never occurs
Plastic Surgery Clinic ㅇㄹ - There was a bit of waiting - The consultant meeting before seeing the director was just filling in personal information, hard to call it a consultation - They recommended both mini and full, but recommended full more strongly (they explained why full was needed) - They said liposuction is possible with mini, but not with full; basically, they do not recommend liposuction with a lift - But if you want flank liposuction, you have to pay an additional fee - I thought it was cheaper compared to ㅂㅇㅅㅌ, but if you add this and that, honestly it seems similar - A drain is needed, and they said 4-5 people do not get seroma (sounds like they mean 5-6 people do get seroma) - Among the three places, the consultant consultation felt the lightest and had no depth about the surgery (it felt like I was just getting guidance on things outside the surgery)
Plastic Surgery Clinic ㅂㅇㅅㅌ - The waiting was about in the middle among the three places; I did not particularly feel like I waited (the consultation room was spacious and felt like a VIP room) - Among the three places, the consultant consultation before seeing the director was the longest and felt very professional - The director consulted while looking at an abdominal ultrasound (confirmed why I needed full..ㅜ) - Recommended full, and said liposuction would be included in everything (said liposuction was needed to get the body line I want) - No drain, and they said seroma risk is low (they explained why it differs through the surgical method)
In conclusion, after going to the consultations and hearing the directors' explanations, what I needed was full. So I am excluding ㅌㄱ, which recommended mini (I liked that they explained at length, but I also wondered if it was because there was no waiting..) and am deciding between ㅇㄹ and ㅂㅇㅅㅌ.
