Breast Surgery Reviews@breast-review

Real final breast consultation review (ㄷㅌ)

I went around to 5 places for consultations.

After seeing my previous post, some people were curious about where I ultimately booked!

I had put down a deposit at one place, but there was someone in this community who had surgery on another area with another doctor at that hospital and had side effects. But the aftercare didn’t look that satisfactory. As soon as I saw that, my trust started dropping like crazy.

I was tempted to just go ahead with it because it was annoying, but I started feeling uneasy about deciding on my boobs, which I’ll have for the rest of my life, like that.

I wondered if I should go for consultations again... so I searched online again and narrowed down the list.

It came down to two places, ㄷㅌ and ㅇㅇ.

In the end, I only had a consultation at ㄷㅌ and decided to book right away. (If you only want to see the consultation review, look below ㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡ. The rest is just personal chatter.)

Originally, I was thinking of getting it done by someone famous for making pretty shapes... I really liked absolutely everything except that the anesthesiology director isn’t in the operating room the whole time and monitors from the room next door... especially the shape was insanely pretty, and it really shook my heart, so I wondered if I should compromise on that much. (Also, it seemed like they only had 2 operating rooms.)

But my body is insanely sensitive.

If I’m tired, it’s like, okay~ I’ll get allergies~ When the seasons change, okay~ I’ll get hives~ If I apply something slightly wrong, okay~ I’ll get acne~ I’m that kind of person.

I also have a lot of painful areas and take a lot of medication, so

I had a lot of fear about general anesthesia.

Anyway, since this is surgery I may carry in my body for 10 years? or even longer, I really wanted there to be not even one thing bothering me, so I overcame the annoyance and booked a consultation.

I’m originally a super lazy, no-fuss type. LASIK? I just searched online for one day and did it at a famous place. Double eyelid surgery? No online research, no in-person consultations. I just went to the place my mom’s friend’s daughter went to and told the doctor, “Just make it suit my eyes well,” and had surgery right away.

ㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡ ㄷㅌ/ㅇㅈㅇ 1. Everyone at the hospital is kind. Insanely kind.... I don’t know if you can feel it from my writing, but I’m seriously socially awkward. So if I feel pressured, I can’t ask questions.. ㅠ That’s why I thought it was important that they treat me kindly and create an atmosphere where I could clearly say what I wanted.

2. The consultation manager was so kind. But I wouldn’t praise them just for being kind. There are lots of places where the consultation manager is kind before surgery! They explained things really systematically. They have a PPT explaining breast surgery. It includes most things we would likely ask about, from CCTV~ aftercare~ additional costs (support bra, medication costs). After the consultation, I immediately put down the deposit, had an ECG, and left.. and they said something with the nuance that they would keep taking care of me(?).

And actually, as soon as I left the hospital, I activated my curious + worried-person mode and asked little questions here and there, and they replied kindly to everything.. haha

Pressure to book the same day? None at all. They didn’t even bring up the term same-day booking at all.. So I was the one who said I’d book now and get all the tests done before leaving lolololololol

3. The doctor’s experience was also briefly written in that PPT, and when I looked on the website, I could just feel that this doctor has genuinely studied breast surgery intensely and does their best for patients. + Their academic society activities... they really work hard...!

4. You know the cause of the CCTV leak incident was webcams, right? They say they use KT Telecop here, yep. (Honestly, this wasn’t important to me.. I thought, who would want to know about someone like me getting breast surgery...) They said if I want, they can put the whole process on a USB.

5. Lifetime A/S is free (I’m not sure about the criteria, but the level of trust makes me feel like I won’t need A/S...)

6. The aftercare is insane (They said the consultation times, surgery times, and consultation times for aftercare clients are completely separate.) Hyperbaric oxygen + CAPS + Smart Lux + unlimited scar treatment

7. Pressure about implants..? Rather than that, they recommend what suits you well.. Looking at reviews, many people used all different implants.

Fortunately(?) the implant I wanted suited me well, so they said I could go with that.

9. The consultation fee is 10,000 won, and it’s not a waste.

10. They decide the breast size after checking everything, including waist and hip size.

11. They do annual breast ultrasound checkups.. but it doesn’t seem like they have a cooperative system with a breast surgery clinic! It wasn’t important by my standards, so pass..~

12. The anesthesiology director stays in the operating room the whole time, and after surgery, until the anesthesia fully wears off, you lie in that space before going to the operating room(?) where the staff and doctor pass by, then once the anesthesia is fully gone, you go to the recovery room.

<Cons> 1. What I was recommended is hybrid surgery, so the price is a bit higher than other places...! 2. The blood test has to be done at a designated internal medicine clinic, and the whole way there is uphill, so it was a bit tiring... haha 3. I wanted a full C, but they told me it wouldn’t suit my body type. So compared with other hospitals, the cc amount going in is smaller..?

The end...!

Anyway, for these reasons, I booked at ㄷㅌ and went ahead with surgery!!!
