Hehehehehe before <This was my nose just 2 months ago lol> First surgery: had it in 2019! This revision rhinoplasty I got: hump nose correction, osteotomy, autologous costal cartilage, artificial dermis for the nasal bridge and tip! This surgery was my fourth rhinoplasty, and I’m 2 months post-op now~
Just like the title says, the hump wasn’t removed cleanly.. My unsatisfying nasal bridge and tip were always a concern, but I think they’ve finally been cleaned up nicely with this fourth revision rhinoplasty ㅠ
Because of all the rhinoplasties I’ve had so far, artificial dermis was used to reduce possible side effects a little. It was placed over the silicone and also used here and there in the areas needed, based on the director’s recommendation~
I chose the surgeon because they specialize in rhinoplasty, and there were plenty of reviews, but even from the consultation it was clearly different. At most other hospitals, the consultations were mostly like, “We just need to shave down the hump.”
But here, the consultation was very detailed, including why artificial dermis should be used and so on, and I could feel that they really understood the condition of my nose, so I chose them~
Before, even though people around me knew I’d had nose surgery, their reactions were kind of lukewarm, but this time the before-and-after is definitely very different, so the reactions are different too~
Friends who know I’ve had rhinoplasty several times said this one seems to have turned out really well hehe They even told me directly that it’s a pretty nose~
Still, no one knows when or how the nose shape might change ㅠ (speaking from experience lol) So all that’s left is to watch it until the 6-month mark~
The director also said that, if possible, even if there are no problems, it’s good to get follow-up checks until 6 months hehe
