In the end, what stressed me out was having a short nose that made my long philtrum stand out. But fillers scared me because of the side effects, and I needed to be able to return to daily life right away, among other picky things I was looking for.
I also wondered whether I should just get a proper nose surgery altogether, but my nasal bridge is already on the higher side and my nose wasn’t bad, so I kept hesitating until I learned about Kozelko.
My nasal bridge was on the higher side, but there was a slight depression in the middle of the nasal tip and then the bridge rose again, so it was a difficult type: if the tip was filled upward it would become a piggy nose, and if the middle was filled too much the nasal tip would look sunken. (I also decided on the surgery after seeing a review from someone with this kind of shape who had Kozelko, because it was exactly the nose I wanted.)
And even on the day of surgery, the doctor suddenly changed the plan, saying it seemed it would turn out better if both sides of cartilage were used, but since I had already decided on one side, I asked them to do it that way lol When I was being anesthetized, the nurses made me feel so comfortable, so I felt good.
Right after surgery / Some people said their ear hurt more than their nose, but neither of them hurt at all for me, and the arm where the IV needle was inserted hurt the most lolololol Days 2-3 / My ear was a little hot and stinging, but my nose had this aching feeling like the tip of your nose gets painfully cold in a very cold winter. On the evening of day 3, I removed the taping, and although it was swollen, I was so satisfied with my nose. Week 1 / As soon as the taping came off my nose, I went out to hang out lol and even after removing the stitches from my ear, returning to daily life right away was totally possible! Week 2 / I really liked the shape when my nose was swollen at first, and once the swelling went down, the sunken area on the nasal dorsum wasn’t corrected as much as I hoped, but I’m completely satisfied with this much!
The redness at the nasal tip still hasn’t disappeared, but it is slowly fading.
Since this is still a surgery, you absolutely shouldn’t take it lightly, but for more simply and safely easing a complex, I don’t think there’s anything quite like Kozelko.
Personally, I’m very satisfied, so I highly recommend it not only to people who just want to slightly lift the nasal tip, but also to people with short noses.
