After <after surgery (most recent/ID photo)> Before <before surgery (double eyelid on only one side..)> Review of buried-suture double eyelid surgery approaching 2 years
First of all, my natural eyes had a double eyelid on only one side, and the other side would only sometimes get one when I was tired, so I had severely uneven eyes.
For clinic visits, I went to one other clinic? and this place was somewhere I had already had a consultation 3-4 years ago, so I went to the clinic for another consultation just to confirm, and booked right away.
First of all, I knew an older friend had had her eyes + nose + facial fat repositioning done there, and my first filler was at this clinic too, so to me it felt like a place I could kind of trust and leave it to them! I think that was part of why.
There are a lot of reviews saying the director is a bit prickly? but I liked that he was honest and straightforward, and the consultant felt like a really friendly older sister, with no sales pressure or coercion..
The director was the same during the consultation, but he clearly told me that uneven eyes cannot be fixed. I wasn’t hoping for some amazing effect either, and I went in thinking, I just wish I had double eyelids on both sides! so I didn’t even bring photos lol... I just went in saying please just do what you think is best... Some people might think I was crazy, but I was that desperate ㅠ
Other places recommended a partial incision, but here they said buried sutures would be enough, so I felt uneasy on one hand and relieved at the same time... Honestly, I was someone who had resistance to the idea of an incision itself..
At first, while setting the line, he showed me two options, but I couldn’t tell the difference, so I asked, What’s different? He said the first one would look natural, but people around me would ask why I even did it, and the second one would show a bit more... As soon as I heard that, I immediately said the second one..ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
To talk about the result, it is completely an inline crease, and the height is not very different from the double eyelid line I originally had, so unless people look closely, they don’t realize I had it done. Even people who know all say my double eyelid surgery turned out well.
For reference, definitely wait and see until 6 months for swelling!! I looked at the archive records I had left on my blog after a year and laughed so muchㅋㅋㅋㅋ When I thought all my swelling had gone down at around one month, that wasn’t even close... Of course, I’m also the type who swells a lot..
When I close my eyes, there are dotted marks from where the sutures were tied with the buried method, but that’s also partly because my skin is on the thinner side. Unless someone examines my face right up close, they wouldn’t know, so I don’t really care. At first I kept worrying, wondering if these wouldn’t disappear, but now I’m just like, whatever~~~
To summarize in conclusion: I had a double eyelid on only one side, so I had buried-suture double eyelid surgery on both sides Inline crease, not set high, just slightly higher than my original line Buried-suture scars? I guess that’s what you’d call them; if you look extremely closely, you can see the tied marks, but not enough to bother me...
The uneven eyes weren’t corrected because the original eye shape itself is asymmetrical.. Correction wasn’t my purpose in the first place, and depending on the eye shape, the two double eyelid lines feel slightly different, but I think that actually makes them look natural
Looking at surgery reviews in this community, it seems there are people whose results didn’t turn out well too, and I really felt that even with a very skilled doctor, case-by-case really is case-by-case. I definitely thought it’s important to visit clinics yourself and judge whether the doctor is someone you can trust...
