I couldn't remember the hospital name well, so I searched it up lol
It was around 2015, I think.. Whenever I took photos, my eyes came out looking much more upturned than they looked in real life, and that was a complex of mine, so I got it done. I have faint double eyelids on both sides and asymmetrical eyes, but I liked that asymmetry, so I didn't want double eyelid surgery. But somehow, every hospital I went to said I absolutely had to get double eyelid surgery, strongly recommending it.. and that I had to do my nose too, and this and that. I went to about 6 places over two days and got exhausted, then went to the last place. First I had a brief consultation with the consultant, and then the doctor consulted with me right away (I think I prefer it when the person doing the surgery consults directly). The surgical method was reasonable too (there was some patented posterior canthoplasty that the doctor developed), and they said I didn't need double eyelid surgery, so I did it here. The doctor looked at my eyes and then at my photos and said, "Oh, they look more upturned in photos than in person.." (My eyes weren't big, just round, but the horizontal length was short and they were upturned, so the gap between photos and real life was too big. That was my motivation for surgery.)
They said it could look awkward at first because they would overcorrect, and that later, once it settled, it would be okay. I had my eyes done, but literally no one knows I had surgery.. lol So I'm satisfied. But when I take photos, my impression looks softer lol So I'm satisfied again. (Goal achieved) It's been almost 10 years, and aside from me aging, it seems the same as after it settled at 4-5 months.
