After just reading posts for a while, I’m finally gathering my courage and posting my clinic-hopping review...! I’m planning to leave plenty of time and carefully visit a few more places, so I’ll post round 2 later I had double eyelid surgery by incision after graduating high school, when I really knew nothing and didn’t look into it much, and it’s been over 10 years now lol I didn’t do ptosis correction, canthoplasty, or anything like that (everyone, please be careful with your first surgery...ㅠㅠ don’t do what I did)
Even early on, I had a slight feeling that one eye opened less, but everyone has some asymmetry anyway, and it’s not like my face was going to become celebrity-level pretty lol so I thought I’d just live with it.. But maybe because I’m getting older, it kept getting worse, and especially in photos, one eye looked about half? the size of the other, so after thinking about it for a long time, I started looking into revision surgery..
1. ㄱㄹㄷ (Director ㄱㅎㅅ) The wait wasn’t very long, the front desk staff and consultant were kind, deposit recommendation O Non-incisional ptosis correction, natural adhesion, surgery only on the sagging side, the line needs to be set slightly lower than the existing one, they told me there’s a possibility the opposite side could become smaller later, but said it likely wouldn’t be severe and that it could be corrected then if needed, questioned why incision was done the first time when my eyelids are so thin
2. ㅌㅌㅇ (Director ㅈㅇㅈ) The wait was short, the front desk staff and consultant were kind, deposit recommendation X, slight cost benefit if booking the same day O Incisional ptosis correction, surgery on both sides, double-line correction, eyelids are very thin and the eyes are sunken, so fat grafting is absolutely necessary, it’s a difficult surgery, canthoplasty is recommended because only one side has strong pulling force at the inner corner, but it’s optional
3. ㅇㅁㄹ (Director ㄱㅎㅈ) There was a bit of a wait, the front desk staff were kind, deposit recommendation X, there is a cost discount on the condition of posting promotional content (but when I said I wasn’t inclined to, they seemed a little puzzled? uncomfortable?...) Incisional ptosis correction, surgery on both sides, eyelid fat grafting doesn’t particularly need to be done, said there is a possibility the opposite side could become smaller later, so I might have surgery again when I visit to have the stitches removed, it may be because the opening strength is weak on one side or because that eye is more sunken, looks like ptosis is present on only one side
For now, these are the places I’ve been to, but I don’t really have many people around me to ask.. I feel a bit anxious about doing ptosis correction, but in my case it also seems like I really need it... I wrote it in detail so I wonder if I’ll be identifiable lol But still, I’m posting in case there’s anyone here who’s worried about eyes similar to mine!
