Review 48 Days After Epicanthoplasty and Incisional Double Eyelid Surgery

Before and after-after-after☑️ Why I chose this hospital I found out about it because an acquaintance recently told me they had surgery at this hospital, and there’s a YouTuber I really like and watch often who has had a lot of plastic surgery + procedures, so when I asked for information, they said they had surgery at this hospital too. So I thought I’d just lightly go in for a consultation. When I actually had the consultation, they weren’t just recommending this and that to secure the hospital’s profit; they carefully picked up on the parts the surgical patient wanted, and firmly told me that things I didn’t need right away did not have to be done, which I think I liked. And both directors had a consultation style that showed confidence and certainty in their skills, and that made me trust them.

☑️ Before surgery Maybe because I had used double eyelid tape and double eyelid glue for a long time, one eye had an enormous amount of fat but was monolid, and the other eye had a very thin inner double eyelid. Looking only at the vertical length, my eyes weren’t on the small side, but horizontally they were short, and because my nasal bridge was low, my face looked plain and the distance between my eyes was wide. So what I had first thought of going in was non-incisional double eyelid surgery + epicanthoplasty + lateral canthoplasty. When I first consulted with the manager, she spoke openly like a friend and even told me about her own surgical areas and what method she used, so the consultation felt like chatting with a friend. I had said I definitely wanted lateral and lower canthoplasty too, so I consulted with two directors. When consulting with the director who would do the double eyelid surgery and epicanthoplasty, of course what I wanted was important, but I thought the director would know better what surgery my eyes needed, so at first, rather than stating my own opinion, I had the director pinch my eyelids several times and said I wanted eyes like that. They said making the height as high as I wanted was not a problem, but because I had a lot of fat, if I did non-incisional surgery, it could come undone. I had been thinking only of fast recovery and minimal scarring, so I was like, definitely non-incisional! non-incisional! But from my perspective, that was like a bolt from the blue. I had seen acquaintances who did not even have much eyelid fat get non-incisional surgery and then consider whether to have revision surgery, so after hearing that, I thought since I was paying anyway, I should do it properly. In the end I agreed to incisional surgery, but throughout the consultation I kept saying, definitely glamorous eyes! Powerful double eyelids! High double eyelids! Looking back now, the director must have had quite a hard time persuading me,, During the lateral and lower canthoplasty consultation, they told me that since my eyes were short horizontally, my eyes would definitely show an effect, and they said it was a differentiated surgical method, so it would not reattach. I kept thinking about it, but since this was my first surgery, I wanted to be cautious, so I booked only epicanthoplasty and double eyelid surgery. After my eyes fully recover, I definitely plan to have the lateral and lower canthoplasty at this hospital. Even on the day of surgery, I compared the height I wanted with the height the director set and had the line raised several times. I wanted to be a bit greedier, so I asked them to set it higher. Judging by the current speed at which the swelling is going down, I feel like I could have pushed the height even more, but I’m 85% satisfied.

☑️ Postoperative care Other than doing warm/cold compresses, taking my medicine properly, and applying ointment diligently, I didn’t go for walks because it was annoying. Since I have a habit of sleeping face down or turned on my side, every time I opened my eyes I’d find myself sleeping face down. When my boyfriend put me back lying straight while I was asleep, a few hours later I’d be face down again; I’d wake up, lie straight and fall asleep, then when I got up I’d eventually be face down again with my face buried in the pillow, repeating endlessly,, Thankfully, there was nothing wrong. As for food, I ate whatever I wanted as much as I wanted, regardless of whether it was salty or stimulating, and maybe because I still had a last bit of conscience, I think I really diligently drank pumpkin-red bean tea bags ‎ࠅ
