I had arm + upper arm fat liposuction surgery in late October 2022. As the director emphasized in the first consultation, liposuction only works properly when combined with dieting, so I managed my weight starting the day after surgery. To reduce swelling and help the surgical area recover, I wore compression garments for a certain period and visited the hospital once a week for physical therapy. When the swelling had fully gone down and I looked at it, my arm circumference had not shrunk as much as I wanted(it doesn't remove so much that you're left with just bone). Still, my overall line and the fit of my clothes improved a bit compared to before. On the other hand, if you gain weight because you don't keep up with management, it will go back to how it was, so if you're getting liposuction, keep in mind that you'll have to maintain it and manage it for life, just like with regular dieting.
