This was the place I came to thinking it might be my last hospital. It was a specialized clinic for autologous dermis, and the doctor only did nose revision surgery with autologous dermis, so I trusted them and didn’t want to suffer any more side effects. In the first surgery, they removed the Gore-Tex and ear cartilage, and a week later they raised the bridge and tip with autologous dermis. Once they removed the implants pressing down on the bridge, breathing felt different. Breathing could be this comfortable! When the implants were removed, my flat nose was exposed, and if I had to live my whole life like that, I felt like it would be unbearable. My issue was the tip of my nose, but my mother had a hollow area next to the bridge of her nose. I also brought my mother here to be treated. Cons After the first surgery to remove the implant that caused the side effects, the second surgery is done 4 or 5 days later. Technically, it’s safe because they clear out all the inflammation in the nose before operating, but there is the burden of having surgery twice. Thinking about how not just I but also my mother and grandmother suffered because of nose surgery, now if someone says they’re going to have surgery with silicone, I want to stop them no matter what. I think revision surgery has to be done with safe materials. If you put an implant back into a nose that already has side effects, the side effects will happen again. But you can’t just give up the straight, refined nose and live with a blunt nose, can you? When I think about that, the answer really is autologous dermis. More than a clinic that does both silicone and autologous dermis, this hospital, which has specialized in autologous dermis alone for over 20 years, inspires trust.
