Because my fine lines and oiliness made my makeup break down easily, I tried skin Botox. During the consultation, I was told that unlike regular Botox, it is injected shallowly in many spots to help improve skin texture and pores. The procedure was done densely across the whole face, so it felt a bit prickly, but still at a tolerable level. Right after getting it, there wasn’t any big change, but after a few days my skin felt a little smoother. About a week later, my makeup stuck less and my oiliness seemed to decrease a bit. On the downside, there were still a few injection marks at the beginning, so I think it’s better to avoid important events right after. They said the effect lasts for a few months, so I understand why so many people get it regularly for maintenance. Overall, it feels like a treatment that tidies up skin condition without looking too obvious, so I think it’s good to try lightly.
