I have a hooked nose and a crooked nose, and at other clinics they said they could just use ear cartilage and the septum and shave down the hump, but here they said they would also need to use donated rib cartilage. They said if there was no donated rib cartilage, they wouldn’t be able to support it well, and my septum was also short, so it wasn’t enough. They also said that if I wanted to make the nose smooth, I’d have to use silicone, but I don’t want silicone. They said there’s a limit to how much a hump nose can be shaved down, so my nose wouldn’t be able to become a natural-looking nose and it would look like I had surgery. I don’t want to use donated rib cartilage, so I probably won’t go here, but they did a CT scan and explained everything in great detail.
