This is a memory from a long time ago, so I’ll just write what I remember. At that time this place was much cheaper than other hospitals (almost half price?). I didn’t have much money but wanted to do my jaw and cheekbones all at once since I was already going under general anesthesia, so I agonized a lot between other hospitals and ended up choosing here. I had cheekbone cortical osteotomy. I had to choose between cheekbones and square jaw, and I did the cortical osteotomy because they said it would give frontal improvement. (I kind of regret that; I should have done the square jaw anyway) Back then too, there were a lot of people saying cheekbone surgery causes cheek sagging, so I was scared and did it, and a few years later only one side developed cheek sagging, on the side with the larger cheekbone.. Honestly, it never got so bad that I’d say the cheek sagging was a huge stressor, and I think I lived pretty well for more than 3 years? Then around age 33-34 it started bothering me, so I guess I began lifting treatments like thread lifting. Actually, cheek sagging isn’t really a special complication so much as it’s natural that when that much bone is removed, leftover tissue can appear. In that sense I’ve thought of my surgery as a success and lived that way, but I wonder how things are now.. It was about 9 years ago, so I think their techniques may have improved a lot by now. I remember the staff were also kind and good, but I guess everyone there has changed by now.
