When I was in middle school, my eyes were a huge source of stress, so I got double eyelid surgery earlier than most people. I wanted to get a rear canthoplasty too, but the director said it wasn't possible because of my age and gave me a consultation that fit my condition. The surgery was done under local anesthesia, and being asked to open my eyes in the middle and at various points gave me confidence. Now, in my fifth year after surgery, it's so natural that I can say it's a natural double eyelid, and I'm extremely satisfied with the line I wanted. The swelling went down later than I expected; I think it took more than a month. I do want to get the rear canthoplasty later, but I'm satisfied enough that I'd have it done here again.
