I had surgery with a friend in December 2015, and now I’m looking into revision surgery. I’m deeply regretting that I had my first nose surgery without researching carefully. There were problems even right after the surgery {Goore-Tex protrusion located in the middle of the bridge, making it look like a hump even though it wasn’t originally a hump nose (Goore-Tex bending) + the tip collapsing, etc.}. Right now, the tip of my nose has completely collapsed. The Goore-Tex insertion area is protruding with the middle bent, so it’s what’s commonly called a parrot-beak nose or witch nose. After the surgery I went back and forth with the hospital several times, but considering how the hospital responded, I simply could not trust them and could not receive aftercare. (I felt like they would only make my nose worse.) And from the beginning they didn’t acknowledge that they would do aftercare, and the doctor even said that the protruding Goore-Tex area should be pressed down by hand for a while.. The manager mentioned things like contour injections as a service. Later the doctor even said rude things like, ‘This is why I didn’t want to operate on people like you’.. I’m now going around looking into revision surgery, and at every place I consult, the doctors say my nose tip couldn’t possibly fall this much, that the support structure has completely collapsed, and that a nose tip normally wouldn’t drop like this. It’s still unclear how much of a mess it will be if they open inside my nose. The current revision estimate is in the 10 million won range.. To anyone thinking about getting surgery here, I sincerely urge you not to. If complications happen, there’s no answer. There’s no one who can fix it. And don’t get surgery with Goore-Tex. Revision surgery becomes extremely difficult.
