I had double eyelid surgery and epicanthoplasty 7 years ago. I wanted a natural, thin line (Seo Hyun-jin style), and it was done with partial incision, but the line is thin and honestly, compared to several friends who had double eyelid surgery as adults, it doesn't seem to have turned out especially beautifully. Still, the one thing is that nobody knows I had double eyelid surgery.. It seems to have come out naturally, so personally I'm satisfied. If my features were also flashy, my eyes probably wouldn't have suited it anyway!
