Eye Surgery review at Rari (라리) · 2023-08-01

I got a consultation here and even had surgery, but the result was the worst. My double eyelids became uneven, and the overall impression, unlike what I expected, made my eyes look scary like a criminal’s eyes... The double-eyelid line is buried in the front and middle parts, and only pops out at the end, so it looks really strange. On top of that, even though I had incisional surgery, the left side completely loosened after just 3 months, and on the right side the double eyelid ended up below the incisional line. Honestly, I wish I could turn back time and go to another hospital instead... I struggled for months looking in the mirror. I didn’t even take photos.. Maybe around 4 to 5 months later I went back and told them the double eyelids were uneven and had loosened, and they admitted the loosening, but when I mentioned the uneven double eyelids, what? They said that wasn’t a double eyelid, it was a wrinkle? Like, what the hell... I was dumbfounded. The double eyelid didn’t form on the incisional line and instead formed below it, so yes, a wrinkle became a double eyelid, but it was still surgery that made them uneven, and they kept refusing to acknowledge it with some weird explanation. And when I said I wanted to raise the line again because the front and middle parts were too buried and only the end of the line showed, they suddenly said I had sunken eyes (before double-eyelid surgery, people had said my eyes were big and pretty, and I had never once heard that I had sunken eyes, nor had I ever thought so myself. I do admit that after the surgery to lower the line, it looked like sunken eyes.) And their attitude was ridiculous. It’s not like I was shouting and demanding they do it for me, but I couldn’t understand why it couldn’t be done, or why raising the line was automatically treated as making a sausage eye. Even when I tried to explain calmly again, they suddenly got angry and kept yelling, ‘You have sunken eyes, sunken eyes!!!!!!’ Already feeling depressed because my impression got so much worse after surgery here, they refused to admit the asymmetry, and even when I asked whether the line could be raised, they didn’t explain properly and just said no, as if asking, ‘Do you want sausage eyes?’ (I never said I wanted to raise it extremely high like sausage eyes. I just wanted the upper line to show a bit because it was buried so much that it looked like a single eyelid.) They start yelling and getting angry during the consultation, so I was already upset and almost in tears. They said revision surgery here would be free, but I just decided to do it somewhere else. Later I talked with the staff on KakaoTalk, and even the staff agreed that the doctor had spoken way too harshly that day. Also, when I went for the revision consultation, it had only been about 3 to 4 months since the first surgery, nowhere near 6 months, and the doctor told me I could do it right away without waiting 6 months. But after 6 months, when I went to another hospital for a consultation, they said that even if they drew the current line, there would still be a problem with the inner corner line of the eye... They said the safest thing would be to wait at least another 6 months from now and then consult again..... After hearing another hospital’s opinion, my trust in this place really dropped to the absolute minimum. I’m so glad I didn’t do the free revision here.. What I wrote above was about the revision consultation, and even at the first consultation, whether it was because they just trusted their own skills, they didn’t give a detailed consultation; it ended in just 2 to 3 minutes, not even 5 minutes. And that was even though I asked several questions... I shouldn’t have gone. Honestly, the consultation, the surgery, and the revision consultation were all handled in a completely sloppy way according to the doctor’s personality, and if he got annoyed he would just bark at the patient. It’s seriously infuriating.... I went here for nothing, and then had surgery with an incisional method for nothing again... I really should have gone somewhere else.... If you want to completely erase your double-eyelid line, or if you want an exaggerated sausage-eye look at the extreme end, then go. The consultation will be totally sloppy.. I really screwed up by having surgery here for nothing ha....
