I told a friend I wanted canthoplasty, and they recommended a clinic, so I went for a consultation. I then immediately had medial and upper canthoplasty, and today marks three months. I had severe epicanthal folds, so the distance between my eyes looked wide, and I also looked slightly blank. The inner corners of my eyes looked very closed-in, and I was so self-conscious that I would notice the distance between people's eyes first. So the most important thing during surgery was making sure my eyes did not look too close together…
