As someone who spent a lot of time looking through the review board while worrying about facial contour surgery, I am leaving this in case my experience helps others. I had contour surgery mainly on the square jaw, and before surgery I often heard that my face looked angular and that I looked harsh in photos. From the consultation onward, I said I wanted a natural refining of the line rather than an excessive change, and the doctor also explained things according to my face shape.
