I had surgery in 2024. At the time, I received a consultation for repositioning because the trough was protruding. I was recommended micro fat grafting, which was not part of the original plan. The manager in the consultation room trailed off saying I already had quite a lot of fat.. and then continued by saying it would be better to do the graft too, that if I only did repositioning the under-eye area could look sunken, that adding the graft would have a central midface lifting effect, and that it would be better to do it all at once rather than lying on the operating table twice
