I went to one clinic to get a consultation for the lateral canthoplasty. I had always been a little bothered that my eyes looked short, so I wanted them to look a bit more open. In the consultation room, they first checked the length of my eyes and the direction of the outer corners, then explained that a lateral canthoplasty could make the eyes look a little longer. They did say that, depending on the eye structure, it is hard to open them too much, and that if it is overdone there is a possibility they could stick back together again.
