I consulted about using ear cartilage for the nose tip and silicone for the bridge. They said they would take a plaster mold of my nose shape, then prepare silicone bridges in various millimeter sizes to match it. Because it is performed under local anesthesia, after inserting the silicone bridge they would cover it, inject medication to temporarily reduce swelling, and then while I was awake during surgery they could check the condition and adjust the implant if I didn’t like it.
