I went in for a consultation about non-implant surgery for a dorsal hump nose. My hump was definitely obvious, and I wanted a non-implant surgery that would shave down the hump and raise the tip, but instead they said they wanted to recommend silicone to create the shape, and that non-implant surgery was possible, but if I chose that, they would not shave down the hump and would raise the tip to match it. In short, my nose is not a big nose that should be reduced by shaving (x), but a small, low nose that needs to be raised (o).
