I had double-eyelid surgery with buried sutures, and I went because several people around me had it done here and all turned out really well. The people around me who had it done here don't look like they had double-eyelid surgery at all, and it really felt like they were born with natural double eyelids, so I was amazed. If you keep it from being overdone the way the doctor recommends, I think you can get surgery so natural that no one would even notice. I asked for the line to be as high as possible, but it still doesn't look awkward and seems to be a line that suits my eyes. And even after more than 5 years, it hasn't come undone. I think the doctor does surgery in a way that is not overdone and very natural. I was also afraid of local anesthesia, but they said they shape the line while directly watching me open my eyes, so only local anesthesia is used. Hearing that actually made me trust it more that they do it under local anesthesia instead of putting you to sleep. In fact, during the surgery I kept closing and opening my eyes. I think that led to a better result. Since I only had buried-suture surgery, I am thinking that I may go back later for a revision with ptosis correction and something like medial epicanthoplasty.
