I had double-eyelid revision surgery with Director Kim Geun-sik, and I’ve already had my stitches removed. At the first surgery back in 2002, they did an incision and an inner epicanthoplasty together, so I had pretty bad bruising and it took quite a long time for the swelling to go down. This time, it was natural adhesion, or maybe surgical techniques have advanced since then, because I had almost no bruising and the swelling was not severe, so a week later I had the stitches removed and am walking around comfortably without even wearing glasses. I had seen reviews saying stitch removal can sting and hurt, so I was a little worried, but they only disinfected the area, and just when I was thinking, ‘Why aren’t they taking them out yet?’, they suddenly said, “The stitches have all been removed,” which really surprised me lol. They said they had only removed the last single stitch, and maybe that is why I truly felt nothing at all. The director also said the wound is healing well, and that swelling usually goes down differently on the left and right, so there is no need to worry. If I do not say anything, it does not look like an eye that was operated on just a week ago, at least that is what it seems like to me, which feels amazing. People around me also said it looks good. I just hope the swelling does not go down too much from here (other people say it should still go down more, but I am worried it will become too thin again like before), and I am waiting for the day I can wear makeup again as soon as possible!
