I was so satisfied with the results of my rhinoplasty that I’m leaving another review. When I first decided to get nose surgery, people around me were very worried, but after having a consultation with Director Park Jeong-heum, I felt confident and went ahead with it haha My nose had a bulbous shape, a droopy/long nose, and even a hump-like appearance, so the line wasn’t smooth, the nasal tip looked like it drooped down long, and my nostrils/nasal alae also looked blunt and spread out. All of these combined made my nose look subtly unsophisticated, which was my complex, and at first I was half-doubtful whether all of this could be corrected at once. The director explained that the surgery would be done with autologous costal cartilage and fascia, without an implant, and because it uses my own tissue, there would be less foreign-body sensation and the nasal tip could be firmly supported. Before surgery, I was very worried about harvesting the rib cartilage, but the pain around the rib area improved after about a week. It wasn’t that painful. As the swelling went down, I could visibly see my nose settling into place, and over time I could really feel that the overall shape had become smoothly refined. The nasal tip shape was also set beautifully, so the bulbous-nose look completely disappeared. The nasal tip no longer droops downward when I smile either. They also straightened my previously deviated nose, so from the front, my nasal line looks clean. For my long nose, they slightly lifted the nasal tip, so my facial proportions look much better. Maybe because I didn’t get an implant, it feels natural even when I touch it, and the thing I’m most satisfied with is that it feels like my own nose. Even after surgery, whenever I go in for follow-up visits, the director personally checks my progress, and the meticulous way he checks everything is something I felt from the first consultation, so I trust him. Only my nose changed, but my whole face feels softer and more defined, so I really think I made the right decision.
